Root Canal Therapy

Root Canal Therapy, known as Endodontic Therapy, is a treatment protocol used to to treat inflammation or infection that has taken root inside the pulp of a tooth. This therapy eliminates the infection and protects the decontaminated tooth from serious damage and discomfort. If not treated, the infected tooth will never get better, as the infection will (over time) destroy enough bone around the tooth that it will become loose and eventually fall out.

This can be prevented by performing root canal therapy. During the root canal, your dentist will remove all of the bacteria and dead tissue within the tooth. Then, the structure of the tooth is rebuilt and topped off with a dental crown so you can continue on as you normally would.
